Beijing: China's total installed power generation capacity reached 3.96 billion kilowatts by the end of March 2026, marking a 15.5% increase from the previous year, as reported by the National Energy Administration.
According to Emirates News Agency, solar power showed significant expansion, with capacity increasing by 31.3% to reach 1.24 billion kilowatts. Wind power also experienced considerable growth, rising 22.4% to 660 million kilowatts.
The National Energy Administration noted that the average utilization hours of power generation equipment in the country stood at 703 hours during the first quarter. This represented a decrease of 66 hours compared to the same period last year.
