DCT Extends On-View Period for Abu Dhabi Art Commissions in Al Ain

Al ain: The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced that artworks commissioned by Abu Dhabi Art for the 2025 programmes, 'Artist Commissions in Cultural Sites' and 'Beyond Emerging Artists', will remain on display in Al Ain until 26th April 2026.

According to Emirates News Agency, the extended exhibition period will provide public access during normal opening hours at participating cultural sites across Al Ain. The artworks by the Abu Dhabi-based trio Ramin Haerizadeh, Rokni Haerizadeh, and Hesam Rahmanian, along with creations by Nike Davies-Okundaye and Issam Kourbaj, were first unveiled in November 2025 during the Abu Dhabi Art Fair and are now available for viewing until 26th April 2026.

The exhibition not only features presentations by established artists but also showcases the 2025 cohort of Beyond Emerging Artists in Al Ain during the same period. The commissioned works are displayed across six locations in Al Ain: Al Ain Museum, Al Ain Oasis, Al Jahili Fort, Al Qattara Oasis, Hili Archaeological Park, and Jebel Hafit.

Abu Dhabi Art, organized by DCT Abu Dhabi, is dedicated to protecting, preserving, and promoting the UAE's cultural heritage while supporting contemporary artistic practice. Although the fair concluded in November at Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi Art offers a year-round programme that includes commissions, exhibitions, and a focus on educational outreach, extending beyond the fair dates.
