Displaced Minister Travels to Syria for Talks on Displaced Populations

BEIRUT: Caretaker Minister of the Displaced, Issam Sharafeddine, is set to travel to Syria today for an official visit aimed at addressing the issue of displaced individuals. The visit, commissioned by the Council of Ministers, will include meetings with Syrian Interior Minister, Major General Muhammad al-Rahmoun, and Minister of Local Administration and Head of the Relief Authority, Louay Kariba. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions will focus on the hosting of displaced Lebanese in Syria and strategies to facilitate the return of displaced Syrians from Lebanon to their home country. The meetings aim to explore solutions for the complex issues arising from displacement in the region.
