Dubai: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the 10th edition of the ‘Emirati Media Forum’ is set to take place on Tuesday, 28th October, at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum is organised by the Dubai Press Club and will convene heads of UAE media organisations, editors-in-chief, prominent writers, opinion leaders, and media professionals. These participants, along with Emirati content creators and digital influencers, will engage in discussions and deliberations at the event.
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will deliver the keynote speech titled ‘Our True Narrative. Our Message to the World.’ The forum will celebrate the achievements of Emirati media across various platforms, acknowledging their contribution to the UAE’s development journey. This progress continues under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The event will review the UAE’s media landscape, exploring developments that support its growth and identifying opportunities arising from technological advancements. The forum will highlight emerging sectors such as film and electronic gaming, discussing strategic steps to position Dubai as a global creative economy hub.
The forum will also address building a competitive media sector within a framework of responsible freedom and discuss future media legislation and regulatory frameworks to promote sustainability and innovation. An open panel will convene media leaders and intellectuals to explore the sector’s future and its technological and professional development needs.
Since its inception in 2013, the Emirati Media Forum has strengthened dialogue and collaboration within the UAE’s media sector. The forum aims to build on this legacy by fostering constructive discussions on the industry’s future, reinforcing the UAE’s leadership regionally and globally.
