BRUSSELS: European Parliament President Roberta Metsola hosted an official meeting with Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, at the European Parliament headquarters. The discussions were centered on bolstering UAE-European Union relations with a focus on trade, climate change, and regional security, aiming to enhance communication channels. According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting also served as a platform for Minister Al Hashimy and Dr. Al Zeyoudi to engage with members of the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with the Arab Peninsula (DARP). These discussions delved into various crises impacting the Middle East and beyond, highlighting the importance of joint efforts in addressing security challenges, humanitarian concerns, and global stability. Both parties reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation on critical global issues. They stressed the ne ed for a stable, secure, and prosperous Middle East, with the UAE and the EU playing essential roles in fostering peace, stability, and sustainable development.
