Palestinian sources have sounded the alarm about an impending humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip as the complete shutdown of the power station looms due to fuel depletion.These sources have emphasized that plunging the region into total darkness would make it impossible to sustain vital life services, all of which depend on electricity. Partial operation through generators is also hindered by the blockade on fuel supplies via the Rafah crossing.Additionally, they indicated this dire situation compounds the existing humanitarian crisis for all residents of the Gaza Strip, especially amid the ongoing Israeli aggression. The destruction of entire residential neighborhoods by hundreds of tons of explosives and the relentless bombardment of civilians’ homes above their heads exacerbate the crisis.An urgent plea has been issued by the sources to the international community and humanitarian organizations to swiftly intervene and halt this crime against humanity and the multi-faceted mass killings.They em
phasized the critical need to provide the coastal enclave with all essential means for survival, ensuring its inhabitants are not held hostage to the occupation’s tools of destruction.
