Gulf Economies Proved Resilient to Global Shocks: GCC Chief

Kuwait city: GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi stated that the economies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states have displayed strong resilience in absorbing global economic shocks despite international challenges. He highlighted that robust non-oil activity, supported by ongoing reforms and domestic demand, has been a driving force for growth across the region.

According to Emirates News Agency, Al-Budaiwi made these remarks during a joint meeting of GCC finance ministers and central bank governors with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, held in Kuwait.

He emphasized that the economic outlook for the region remains positive, bolstered by continued reforms, the expansion of natural gas production, reduced dependence on oil, and stable inflation rates.
