Dubai: The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) have formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing excellence, giftedness, and education quality.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed during a ceremony attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the Foundation. The agreement outlines a plan to implement the Hamdan Giftedness Test in Dubai schools and includes the annual training of specialists to identify gifted students.
The memorandum was signed by Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, and Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director-General of the KHDA. The collaboration aims to exchange educational expertise, conduct joint research in excellence and giftedness, and organize relevant conferences and seminars.
The MoU also provides for technical support and advisory services related to education quality and gifted education, and coordinates with private schools in Dubai on initiatives and programs.
Al Qutami emphasized the partnership's role in supporting national efforts to nurture gifted students and enhancing the foundation's educational tools. He noted that the initiative aligns with the Foundation's mission to foster educational innovation and address educational needs.
Miran highlighted that the partnership will contribute to Dubai's Education 33 strategy, focusing on improving access to high-quality education and supporting gifted students. She noted the cooperation's alignment with shared objectives to promote excellence and innovation in Dubai's private education sector.
