In a weather report by the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), Tuesday brings news of a marginal temperature rise across the Kingdom, leading to varying conditions in different areas. The highlands can expect relatively warm weather, while other regions will experience hot conditions.
As the day unfolds, skies will showcase a display of clouds at medium to high altitudes, with moderate northwesterly winds.
The weather service issued a warning regarding the potential risks of prolonged direct sun exposure, particularly during peak hours. It strongly advised against leaving children unattended inside closed vehicles and cautioned against storing flammable substances, sanitizers, and perfumes in cars. Additionally, starting fires in forested and grassy areas is strongly discouraged to prevent the outbreak of wildfires.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, mercury levels are expected to rise further, leading to hot weather prevailing countrywide. Medium to high clouds will be visible at intermediate and high altitudes, while the winds will be moderate, occasionally gaining strength and stirring up dust in desert areas.
As we approach Thursday, temperatures will experience a slight decrease, bringing back relatively warm conditions in high mountainous areas and hot weather in other regions. Clouds at medium to high altitudes will appear, and the winds will be moderate, occasionally increasing in speed.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 21C or even 19C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 40C and lows of 29C.
