House, brick factory, and retaining walls demolished by Israeli occupation forces near Jerusalem

The Israeli occupation forces today demolished a house, a brick factory, and retaining walls in the village of Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem. Local sources said the demolished house was 150 square meters in area and located at the entrance to the village. The occupation authorities claimed it was built without a permit. Eleven other houses and structures and five shops in the same area are also threatened with demolition. The demolished brick factory, owned by two local siblings, was built 20 years ago, said the sources, and losses were estimated at thousands of dollars. The occupation forces also demolished retaining walls and wreaked havoc on agricultural land, they said. Biddu mayor, Salem Abu Eid, said the destruction caused was great, indicating that this area is targeted by the occupation authorities and is subject to repeated demolitions. The occupation forces also arrested at dawn today a resident of Biddu after raiding his house, tampering with its contents, and assaulting him, said the sources.
