ABU DHABI: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the inaugural Abu Dhabi Business Week (ADBW) is set to take place from December 4th to 6th, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The event, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, aims to explore new opportunities and drive sustainable economic development. According to Emirates News Agency, ADBW will bring together more than 150 speakers and over 8,000 participants, including policymakers, business executives, international investors, and entrepreneurs. The event's theme, 'Deliver Value. Create Impact', underscores Abu Dhabi's commitment to fostering a thriving business environment and the emirate's economic growth. ADBW aims to offer participants insights into the trends and strategies shaping the future of Abu Dhabi, known as the 'Capital of Capital'. The event will focus on enhancin g collaboration between the public and private sectors to drive growth and diversification. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that ADBW will serve as a platform for businesses to connect and collaborate, supporting the transition to a smart, diversified, and sustainable economy. He highlighted Abu Dhabi's business-friendly ecosystem, which now accounts for over 55 percent of the emirate's GDP, and a 6.6 percent growth in non-oil sectors in the second quarter of 2024. ADBW will feature ten specialized events, including the Abu Dhabi Business Forum, addressing topics like global investment dynamics, business clusters, and public-private partnerships. Other events such as the Procurement Forum, Innovation Xchange, and the Entrepreneurship Summit will delve into innovation, procurement, family businesses, youth, and entrepreneurship. As the recently named World's Richest City, Abu Dhabi offers investors significant financial and growth opportunities, backed by US$1.7 trillion in sovereign wealth fund assets. The emirate's favorable business climate is further evidenced by its ranking as the top location for ease of doing business in the MENA region.
