Abu Dhabi:The International Conference on Occupational Health and Inclusion of People of Determination is set to take place at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort from November 24 to 26, 2026. This event will bring together local and international experts, researchers, and stakeholders to support efforts aimed at empowering and integrating People of Determination in the workplace.
According to Abu Dhabi Media Office, the conference is organized by the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, in collaboration with the Emirates Occupational Health and Community Health Society, alongside strategic partners such as ADNOC, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, and ADNEC Events.
The conference is part of national efforts to enhance the quality of life and promote the inclusion of People of Determination in the workplace. It aims to facilitate the exchange of international expertise and best practices in occupational health and safety and supports the UAE's bid to host the International Commission on Occupational Health Congress (ICOH 2033).
Dr. Fatima Al Dhaheri, Director of the Healthcare Department at the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, highlighted the conference as an important step towards strengthening integration and inclusion in occupational health. She stated that Abu Dhabi's hosting of the event reflects its expertise and commitment to sustainable solutions in healthcare, rehabilitation, and community inclusion.
The conference will address key themes such as prevention and early screening, workforce health and resilience, and the inclusion of People of Determination in the workplace. It will also explore the application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in advancing occupational health services.
The event will feature panel discussions and workshops with experts and researchers to facilitate knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships. This will further support the UAE's efforts to host ICOH 2033 and demonstrate Abu Dhabi's ability to organize specialized international events, reinforcing the UAE's global presence in occupational health and inclusive social development.
