Iraq Advocates for Increased Pressure on Israel to Avert Regional Conflicts

Baghdad: Iraq has declared that exerting more pressure on Israel is essential to averting further conflicts in the Middle East, a statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry emphasized on Monday. According to Jordan News Agency, during a meeting in Baghdad with Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and the Croatian Foreign Minister, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein highlighted the ongoing war situations in Gaza and Lebanon. He warned that these conflicts have the potential to trigger additional disputes in neighboring regions if not addressed. The statement further detailed that Minister Hussein stressed the necessity of a ceasefire and called for international efforts to compel Israel to halt its military activities as a strategic measure to ensure peace and stability in the broader Middle East area.
