According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing youth skills, activating youth and entrepreneurship centers, and promoting their participation in decision-making processes. Minister Shdeifat conveyed the ministry's dedication to implementing royal directives that support political, economic, and administrative modernization, with youth playing a pivotal role in these areas. Shdeifat highlighted the challenges facing young people today, including the risks of drugs, violence, extremism, and hate speech, and underscored the importance of safeguarding them. He also lauded ongoing partnerships with national and international bodies, noting their critical role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth. On her part, Ritsema-Anderson reiterated the UN's commitment to supporting Jordan in its national goals that align with broader modernization efforts and the Sustainable Development Goals. She stressed the significance of investing in education, skill development, and volunteerism to enable meaningful youth contributions to the country's development. The discussions also explored avenues to expand cooperation under the Youth, Peace, and Security agenda initiated by Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II during his presidency of the UN Security Council session in 2015. This includes enhancing volunteer programs, climate change initiatives, and entrepreneurship schemes that prepare young Jordanians for the labor market challenges.
