DAMASCUS: Israeli occupation forces carried out an attack with missiles last night targeting the Aleppo International Airport in northern Syria, causing severe damage and rendering the airport inoperable, according to a military source cited by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The attack occurred at approximately 11:35 PM last night when Israeli occupation forces carried out an aerial assault from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia, with the aim of striking Aleppo International Airport, the source told SANA.

The missile strike resulted in extensive material damage to the airport, ultimately taking it out of service.

The Syrian military source emphasized that this latest act of aggression is evidence of the ruthless approach of the Israeli occupation, which is manifesting itself in ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people and the atrocities committed against innocent civilians, including women and children.
