Israel declared a state of “war alert” following the “Al-Aqsa Deluge” assault by the Palestinian resistance in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Home Front Command announced a “special situation” within 80 km from the Gaza Strip and the southern region, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Under this situation, classes and work will be suspended in “unsafe” areas tomorrow and that only small gatherings will be allowed, it said.

Israel Public Radio also reported that authorities ordered residents in the settlements of Sderot, Ofakim and Netivot close to the Gaza border to remain in shelters until further notice.
