Brussels: Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, hailed the agreement between Israel and Hamas on the first phase of the Gaza peace deal as a “significant breakthrough.”
According to Emirates News Agency, in a post on X, Kallas stated, “This is a major diplomatic accomplishment and a real chance to end a devastating war and release all the hostages.” She emphasized the importance of the agreement in potentially bringing an end to the ongoing conflict and reiterated the EU’s commitment to supporting its implementation.
