Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship 4th Round Set for Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the fourth round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is scheduled to take place from 27-29 June 2025 at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. This round will feature the Gi category and bring together leading male and female athletes from clubs and academies across the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, competitions will span three days, starting with youth, adults, and masters categories on the first day. The second day will host the under-14 and under-16 categories, culminating with the under-12 and juniors categories on the final day. The championship aims to serve as a platform for preparing future champions by offering equal opportunities for development in the sport.

Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the championship's progress in promoting jiu-jitsu to new performance levels. He observed a noticeable improvement in the participants' performances, attributing this to the efforts of the federation, athletes, and their families. He further emphasized the championship's role in talent development and expanding the sport's competitive base.

Al Dhaheri also pointed out the championship's social impact, stating that it builds connections between families and athletes and promotes jiu-jitsu as a tool for character building. The growing participation from both athletes and spectators underscores the success of the initiative and reflects the sport's integration into Emirati society.
