Caretaker Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury, on Monday chaired a meeting in preparation for the imminent economic summit which will take place this weekend in Beirut.
Speaking following the meeting, Khoury said that talks touched on the summit's content and on the issues that would be tackled.
He added that several similar meetings would be held as of today, including a meeting at the Foreign Ministry and a forum for the Arab businessmen.
"This summit constitutes a major importance for Lebanon, amid the difficult economic condition nowadays," Khoury said.
"The timing of the summit is also significant as it will tackle the Syrian refugee issue," he added.
