For the first time since the establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad al-Malki today signed with his Colombian counterpart, Álvaro Leyva, four cooperation agreements in various fields. A memorandum of understanding was signed on technical cooperation, another to establish a mechanism for political consultations between the two ministries, an agreement on visa exemption for holders of valid diplomatic and official passports, and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the academic field between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine (Diplomatic Training Program) and Augusto Ramirez Ocampo Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia. This came during an official ceremony at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Colombian capital, Bogota, which was preceded by a meeting between the two ministers, where the two parties discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral r
elations at all levels and intensifying the political dialogue between the two friendly countries.
