Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Development Council held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress achieved in implementing national policies and strategies across various sectors, including groundwater, consumer goods, national industries, and direct investment abroad. It also considered proposed regulations related to societal empowerment and government services.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Council examined proposals submitted by federal entities designed to further improve the quality of services provided to the community and to enhance the efficiency of government operations and federal public finances. The agenda encompassed discussions on national reports concerning the environment, climate change, food safety, and energy sustainability.
Additionally, the meeting addressed progress in joint GCC economic initiatives, evaluated the results of the Securities and Commodities Authority’s activities, and considered recommendations from the Federal National Council. These recommendations pertained to the government’s policy on managing and sustaining endowments and zakat funds, aiming to enhance their societal role.
