AJMAN: The Ministry of Culture convened the inaugural meeting of the Creative Careers Programme at the Ajman Cultural Center - Al Jurf, in collaboration with the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council "Nafis." The initiative seeks to enhance the skills of Emiratis in creative, cultural, and artistic fields, aiming to create a workforce that aligns with the demands of the private sector. According to Emirates News Agency, the event marks a significant step towards the programme's goals and was attended by key figures, including Major General Shaikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, and Mubarak Al Nakhi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture. Approximately 66 federal and local entities, including 20 private companies, five free zones, recruitment firms, and 22 universities and colleges, participated in the meeting. The programme aligns with the leadership's vision of nurturing young national talents and promoting a diversified knowledge-based economy. Mubarak Al Nakhi emp hasized the Ministry's dedication to empowering young talents and integrating them into the cultural and creative industries, which are crucial to the national economy. He stated that the programme offers a valuable platform for Emirati youth to contribute significantly to the cultural and creative sector, both locally and globally. This initiative underscores the UAE's commitment to using this sector as a catalyst for economic and developmental progress and as a form of soft power. The Ministry is partnering with private sector entities to attract and empower talented Emiratis, reinforcing the nation's position as a global cultural hub. The Creative Careers Programme provides numerous opportunities for engagement in the cultural and creative industries sector, targeting job seekers of both genders and fostering their participation in the labor market.
