National Bonds Expands ‘Young Investor’ Programme to Three Additional Schools in UAE

DUBAI: National Bonds, a prominent Shari'a-compliant savings and investment company in the UAE, in collaboration with Knowledge Fund Establishment, has announced the expansion of its 'Young Investor' programme to include three additional schools, making a total of six schools participating in the initiative's first phase. This programme is the first of its kind in the Middle East. According to Emirates News Agency, the announcement was made during an event organized by National Bonds, where Al Nibras International School, Buds Public School, and St. Mary's School Oud Metha were welcomed as new participants. These schools have joined following the positive reception of the programme in Dubai schools, namely Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej, and Al Barsha. The 'Young Investor' programme targets students in grades 5 and 6 and aims to impart essential financial planning skills. This initiative is in line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with the goal of advancing the educational system and equipping students with future-ready skills. Mohammed Qasim Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer at National Bonds, emphasized the importance of the programme, stating, "By providing students with the critical knowledge and tools to thrive in an ever-evolving financial landscape, we are not only preparing them for the future but also contributing to a broader national effort." He highlighted the initiative's alignment with the government's vision to enhance educational leadership in the emirate by integrating financial skills into the curriculum. Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, expressed satisfaction with the programme's expansion, noting, "This growth reflects the positive influence of this innovative initiative, launched in collaboration with our partners at National Bonds." He emphasized the commitment to encouraging more schools to join the programme, aiming to equip students with necessary financial skills for future success. Lau nched earlier this year, the 'Young Investor' programme includes modules on money management, payment methods, loans and debts, savings and investments, insurance with a focus on Takaful, and comprehensive financial planning. The programme's interactive learning approach, supplemented by workshops and practical exercises, ensures that students not only understand theoretical concepts but also acquire the skills needed to apply their financial knowledge practically.
