A Palestinian identified as Ahmad Yasin Hillal Gheithan, from the village of Qibya, west of Ramallah, was shot and killed today by Israeli soldiers following an attack on settlers near the illegal settlement of Kadumim, located near the village of Kufr Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya. Israeli reports said a soldier was killed in the attack. The attacker fled the scene and was pursued by soldiers who shot him while in the nearby fields, said the reports. Soldiers later raided the attacker’s village and detained his father, sister and brother, according to local Sources. The attack came two days after Israel’s two-day carnage in Jenin refugee camp and the killing of 12 Palestinians, mainly civilians and including four children.
