This initiative aligns with Kazakhstan’s national objectives of achieving technological sovereignty and promoting innovation-led growth.
During his address, Kenesbai provided insights into the Astana Smart City project, a major public-private partnership involving Presight and the Akimat of Astana. This project is a critical element of the city’s digital transformation, integrating AI into urban management.
Kazakhstan is rapidly emerging as a regional hub for AI and advanced analytics, Kenesbai noted. Through the R and D Lab and projects like Astana Smart City, Presight aims to promote technological innovation, nurture local talent, and apply AI where it is most impactful.
Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, welcomed Presight’s R and D Lab at Alem.AI. He emphasized its significance for the country’s innovation agenda, stating that it marks an important milestone in strengthening Kazakhstan’s AI ecosystem. There will be a special emphasis on developing AI-powered Smart City solutions to enhance urban management, transport, safety, and sustainable development.
Presight has also been instrumental in developing Kazakhstan’s first Command Center for Government Analytics and Decision-Making. This flagship component of the AI-Driven Government vision, presented by Minister Madiyev, enables real-time monitoring, analysis, and management of national and municipal processes, representing a substantial advancement in data-driven governance.
Beyond Kazakhstan, Kenesbai highlighted Presight’s collaboration with the Government of Azerbaijan, where AI solutions are being implemented for the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. These efforts are advancing AI strategies and infrastructure in both countries.
The initiatives led by Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan align with global AI trends, Kenesbai emphasized. Presight is proud to be part of this shared success, reflecting its broader strategy to establish itself as the preferred AI and digital transformation partner in Central Asia.
