Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, stressed that “the severity of the political crisis is intensifying day by day, accelerating the collapse at all financial, economic, social and life levels, and it necessitates as soon as possible to rush to a national consensus to save the country.”
Qaouk’s words came during the honorary ceremony held by the Party for his martyr Ghaleb Awali on the occasion of his martyrdom anniversary.
Sheikh Qaouk stressed that “we are looking forward to the near future in which there will be political breakthroughs that will alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese, and bring the distances closer to electing a president for the republic.”
Qaouk believed that “the European Union’s blatant, provocative and authoritarian decision constitutes an abuse and aggression against Lebanese sovereignty and dignity, and a real threat to stability and national unity.”
Finally, he he considered that “Lebanon is not bound by any of the European recommendations, and it must work in its interest to accelerate communication with the Syrian government to find appropriate exits that speed up addressing the displaced crisis.”
