Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, welcomed on Friday at his ministry office the Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Ibrahim Abdel Aziz al-Sahlawi, who paid him a farewell visit marking the end of his diplomatic mission in Lebanon. Discussions reportedly touched on the latest developments on the local and regional arena. During the meeting, Minister Hamieh hailed the role played by Ambassador Al-Sahlawi in activating relations between Lebanon and Qatar at the various levels, and expressed his desire to continue opening horizons of cooperation between the two countries in all fields. Hamieh wished the outgoing Ambassador all success in his new mission. In turn, Ambassador Al-Sahlawi wished Minister Hamieh success in all issues and files concerning the ministry, stressing Qatar’s permanent support for Lebanon.
