Amman: Queen Alia Foundation for Hearing and Speech provided 1,409 free health services to the Jordanian community during the year 2023.

According to the foundation’s statement on Sunday, the services covered ear, nose and throat (ENT) care, as well as resetting patients’ hearing aids, and providing speech training and consultations.

Additionally, the foundation contributed to distributing hearing aids to more than 108 poor and needy people in areas, which lack hearing and speech therapy services.

Recently, the foundation also implemented a free medical day in Amman’s Wadi al-Seer district that benefited 45 medical cases and provided 80 ENT tests, as well as speech and language evaluation.

Founded in 1978, the foundation, which is headed by Her Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, is a voluntary medical charity and is a leading institution in the Arab world and the Middle East region in rehabilitating patients who suffer from hearing loss and various language problems.
