GAZA CITY: Medical teams participating in the Royal Initiative "Restoring Hope" continue to deliver essential medical and therapeutic services in the Gaza Strip, contributing to Jordan's ongoing humanitarian efforts. The initiative, supported by Jordanian field hospitals, aims to bolster the health sector in the region through specialized medical assistance. According to Jordan News Agency, the Royal Medical Services (RMS) teams, as part of the initiative, are particularly focused on assisting amputee patients. The commander of the Jordanian field hospital force in South Gaza 4 noted that the teams work collaboratively to mitigate suffering and bring relief to the affected individuals in Gaza. The initiative underscores the commitment to provide care and support to those in need. The hospital director emphasized the expertise involved in fitting amputees with prosthetic limbs, noting that the process is overseen by a skilled and specialized team. Although fitting a limb is a complex operation, it can be com pleted swiftly if the patient meets the necessary criteria. The prosthetist shared that approximately 50 to 60 patients, affected by injuries and shrapnel, visit the prosthetics clinic weekly for care and limb fitting. Since their deployment, the medical teams have fitted 102 limbs, comprising 88 lower limbs and 14 upper limbs. "Restoring Hope," initiated under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, focuses on installing artificial limbs for war casualties in Gaza, operating through two mobile clinics dedicated to this cause.
