Rubu’ Qarn Foundation Unveils Second Season of Literature and Arts

Sharjah: The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators has launched its second season of Literature and Arts, which will run until 3rd November 2025. The season aims to provide platforms and spaces where members can express their talents and skills in theatre, performing arts, music, cinema, visual arts, and literature.

According to Emirates News Agency, the season includes a visual arts exhibition titled “Worlds of Arts Between Crafts and Imagination,” which promotes dialogue between generations through three main themes. The first theme, “From Raw to Imagination,” allows participants to use various materials to transform them into a language of expression. The second theme, “Memory and Identity,” draws from Emirati heritage to embody the relationship between the present and cultural roots. The third theme, “Worlds Beyond Reality,” showcases the potential of art and technology to turn imagination into visual experiences.

The photo exhibition includes creations from the “Parallel World Lens” and “AI Imagination” programmes, where participants transformed written stories into digital images and designed new book covers. This exhibition allows artwork to serve as a window into the participants’ imagination and ability to convert ideas into a visual language.

The season also features poetry and literature, including poems, dramatic scenes, theatrical performances, and a popular proverb challenge. Additional segments include storytelling, a book tour, the Reader of the Century platform, and the Story in a Bottle project.

Musical events are also part of the season, showcasing The Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre’s members in solo and group performances of Arab and international musical pieces. A theatrical production titled ‘The Suitcase’ highlights the talents of Rubu’ Qarn Centre members.

The season presents a selection of films resulting from year-round cinematic arts programs, offering insights into skills developed in writing, acting, filming, editing, directing, animation, lighting, and sound engineering.

Events will be held at various venues, including the College of Fine Arts at the University of Sharjah, Al Rahmaniya Shopping Centre, Zero 6 Centre, Aljada, Khorfakkan Cultural Centre, Khorfakkan Library, Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre, Al Mamsha, Souq Sharq, and San Caf©. These venues provide comprehensive artistic and creative experiences across the emirate.
