Caretaker National Defense Minister, Yaacoub Sarraf, received this Friday the Australian Ambassador to Lebanon, Rebekah Grindlay, whereby they discussed bilateral relations and means of activating them.
The situation in Lebanon and the region was also a topic of conversation between the two, in addition to the issue of Syrian displacement.
During the meeting, Grindlay reviewed the details of the two-day visit of Australian Defense Minister, Christopher Pyne, to Lebanon on January 16, 2019.
Sarraf later welcomed the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Lebanon, Hmgrrk Wijeratne Mendis, with talks touching on bilateral relations and the possibility of a military cooperation agreement.
The pair also discussed the expected visit of the Sri Lankan President to Lebanon between the months of February and March.
