Sharjah Executive Council Approves Organizational Structure for Department of Municipal Affairs


Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired the Council’s meeting on Tuesday morning at the Ruler’s Office. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Council.



According to Emirates News Agency, the Council discussed topics concerning the government’s financial results and updated government procedures to keep pace with the growth in Sharjah’s vital sectors. The Council reviewed a report on the performance of the general budget and activity outputs for the first half of 2025 across sectors including social development, government administration, infrastructure, capital projects, and economic development. The Council emphasized supporting all entities to achieve strategic goals that enhance government work.



The report provided a comparison of actual expenses and revenues for government and independent departments in Sharjah for the fiscal year 2025, contrasting them with the previous year. It highlighted completion rates of targeted outputs for the first half at the government entity level and growth rates in vital sectors. This reflects the financial balance and wise policies of the Emirate in resource management, enhancing financial performance efficiency to ensure sustainable development and improved community services.



The Council approved the organizational structure of the Department of Municipal Affairs to facilitate its work and enable task performance. This aligns with the ongoing development of organizational frameworks for various government departments and agencies, as the Council concluded its legislative session.
