Sharjah: The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment recently celebrated the achievements of 95 dedicated Quran memorisers during the closing ceremony of the Holy Quran Memorisation Award, marking the second edition of the ceremony. The event, which took place in the presence of esteemed guests and family members, highlighted the accomplishments of participants in the Establishment’s Quran Memorisation circles.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Establishment’s Board of Directors, alongside other distinguished guests including Omar Ali Al Shamsi, Director of the Establishment, and Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary-General of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah. Establishment Board Members Saleh Balleith Al Tunaiji and Aisha Al Howaidi, as well as Dr. Salem Al Dobi, Member of the UAE Council for Fatwa, also attended the ceremony.
The honoured memorisers, comprising 66 males and 29 females, were celebrated for their dedication and commitment to completing the memorisation of the Holy Quran. Sultan Mattar bin Dalmouk Al Ketbi expressed profound admiration for the honorees, acknowledging their exceptional achievement and the spiritual elevation that comes with memorising the Quran. He congratulated them on receiving this distinguished award, which is considered a significant honour and a testament to their hard work and devotion.
Al Ketbi further emphasised the success of the Quran Award in its second year, noting the impressive number of over a thousand applications received for this round. He highlighted the competition’s role in showcasing the competency and excellence of its participants and expressed pride in the accomplishments of the award recipients, who serve as exemplary figures for their peers.
