Sharjah: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) and the Arabic Language Protection Association recently engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing joint cooperation to support scientific and cultural objectives. The focus areas include heritage programs, events, and promoting collaboration in research and publishing.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting featured Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of SIH, and a delegation from the Arabic Language Protection Association led by Dr. Saeed Obaid Salem Balleith, Chairman of the Board. Dr. Al Musallam lauded the Association’s efforts and highlighted Sharjah’s significant steps, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, in supporting and empowering the Arabic language. He noted that these initiatives have established Sharjah as a prominent cultural hub.
Dr. Saeed Obaid Salem Balleith expressed appreciation for SIH’s role in preserving heritage and safeguarding Emirati identity. He emphasized the urgent need to focus on the Arabic language and make it more accessible to diverse audiences.
