Together – Israeli authorities’ vehicles and bulldozers, in the presence of the Minister of Construction and Housing, Yitzhak Goldknovf, and the Minister of National Security, the extremist Itamar Ben Gvir, and under the protection of police forces and their special units, demolished today, Tuesday, buildings belonging to Arab citizens in the Negev region.
The “Arab48” website stated that the Israeli authorities’ machines and bulldozers carried out house demolitions in the Tel Arad area and the area east of Route 80 (east of Camp Nabatim) in the Negev, belonging to Arab citizens under the pretext of building without a permit.
“What happened today is an attempt to show one’s muscles, and this happens almost daily in the Negev, and it is not something new today,” said the head of the Kiseifa local council, Abdel Aziz al-Nasasra, Amir Boyat.
He stressed that “demolition and destruction has been going on in the Negev for many years, not just today.”
The Israeli authorities had photographed the houses using drones, claiming that the owners had entered the lands of the state and built homes and buildings on them.
It claimed that it gave more than three months to the homeowners to evacuate and demolish it, and that it demolished it today after they did not implement that.
It stated that the so-called “Israel Land Authority” issued more than 360 demolition and eviction orders in February 2023 in the Negev.
