Cairo: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met in Cairo to discuss strengthening fraternal ties and broadening bilateral cooperation to support the development goals of both nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place at Al-Ittihadiya Palace as part of Sheikh Mohamed's visit to Egypt. Discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in economic, trade, and development sectors. The leaders also reviewed regional and international issues, including developments in the Middle East and the importance of international recognition of the State of Palestine. Both sides reaffirmed that a two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
The leaders expressed support for efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and resolving the crisis permanently. They emphasized the need for joint Arab action to address regional challenges and ensure security, stability, and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by a delegation including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, and other ministers and senior officials. Sheikh Mohamed departed Cairo after his visit, with President El-Sisi bidding him farewell at Cairo International Airport.
