DUBAI: The UAE Open Muay Thai Championship for Men and Women commenced at Dubai's Festival Arena, attracting 235 competitors from 44 clubs globally. The event, organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, underscores the UAE's growing prominence in the sport on both regional and international platforms. According to Emirates News Agency, the championship will continue through Sunday, 27th October. Participants hail from countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and China, competing in various age groups and weight categories. The opening day saw 58 preliminary matches, with semi-finals scheduled for Saturday. The finals and awards ceremony will conclude the tournament on Sunday.
