UAE President Expresses Solidarity with Qatar Following Iranian Attack

Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call today with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. During the conversation, Sheikh Mohamed expressed the UAE's solidarity with Qatar and extended full support following the Iranian attack on Al Udeid airbase located in Qatari territory. He inquired about the situation in Qatar and the wellbeing of its citizens, reaffirming the UAE's condemnation of the attack and support for Qatar's measures to protect its sovereignty and security.

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussion also touched upon the recently announced ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. Sheikh Mohamed expressed hope that the agreement would contribute to enhancing stability, security, and peace across the Middle East. He commended Sheikh Tamim for his efforts in facilitating the agreement and emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint action to ensure its success.

Sheikh Tamim expressed gratitude to the UAE President for his supportive sentiments towards Qatar and its people, appreciating the UAE's stance and solidarity during this time.
