UAE Showcases Sustainable Housing Initiatives at Gulf Housing Conference

Kuwait city: A UAE delegation, led by Eng. Mohammed Al Mansouri, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, participated in the second Gulf Housing Conference organized by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The event, held in Kuwait, attracted senior officials, experts, and specialists in the housing and urban development sector from across the GCC countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, the conference was attended by delegations from member states who discussed future strategies for developing sustainable housing projects and the latest global best practices in the field. Al Mansouri engaged in a specialized panel discussion titled "Sustainable Housing Models in GCC Countries," which focused on integrating smart technologies in housing projects, enhancing public-private partnerships, and reviewing supportive policies and legislation for integrated urban communities.

During the session, participants highlighted the need for a joint GCC knowledge platform to share data and experiences, which would enhance regional integration in the housing sector and support social stability, contributing to an improved quality of life for GCC citizens. Al Mansouri emphasized the UAE's commitment to fostering joint GCC cooperation in housing, a key pillar for social stability and sustainable development.

Al Mansouri praised the progress achieved through Gulf cooperation in the housing sector and reiterated the UAE's dedication to supporting initiatives that improve quality of life and promote integrated urban development. He stated that Gulf cooperation in housing is crucial for family stability and building a cohesive residential environment that supports the sustainable development goals of GCC countries.

He noted that the UAE has developed modern projects using smart solutions and eco-friendly designs, aligned with the 'We the UAE 2031' vision. Sustainability is viewed as a necessity, and the UAE collaborates closely with GCC counterparts to enhance regional integration and develop joint solutions for the well-being of Gulf citizens.

Al Mansouri highlighted the UAE's achievements in the housing sector, including the provision of modern homes and the adoption of energy-efficient, sustainable models.
