Abu Dhabi:The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced the suspension of flights operated by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE, effective today, Thursday, 24th September, until further notice.

According to Emirates News Agency, the decision was made due to a US ban imposed on Iranian airlines, restricting their use of airports in various countries globally.

The GCAA assured that it will keep both relevant authorities and the public informed of any developments concerning the resumption of regular air traffic between the UAE and Iran.

The authority also advised the public to rely exclusively on official and authorized sources for information.
