Dubai: The European Tour Group announced that the UAE will host the European Tour Group Sustainability Awards 2025 on 12th November, coinciding with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. This event marks the conclusion of the Race to Dubai season.
According to Emirates News Agency, the awards ceremony will follow a hybrid format and will recognize winners from Europe, the Middle East, and the rest of the world across five categories: Venues, Staging, Operations, Tech and Innovation, and Catering. Each geographical region will have a selected winner in these categories.
Entries for the awards are open until midnight on 2nd October 2025. Submissions must pertain to projects or initiatives executed between 1st September 2024 and 1st October 2025 to qualify for consideration.
The judging panel for the awards consists of experts in golf tournament operations and sustainability, including representatives from the GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation. A total of nine tournaments from the Middle East, with seven being held in the UAE, are eligible to compete.
As part of its Green Drive sustainability programme, the European Tour Group has committed to reducing operational and tournament greenhouse gas emissions by half by 2030 and aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
