Gaza City – The World Health Organization has issued a statement denouncing the recent attacks by Israeli forces on healthcare facilities in the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA, the Israeli bombardment yesterday targeted areas near Al-Shifa Hospital, Al-Quds Hospital, and the Indonesian Hospital, causing casualties and damage. At the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical center in Gaza, an Israeli attack occurred while ambulances were transporting critically injured patients, resulting in the death of thirteen people and injuries to over sixty, along with damage to the hospital infrastructure and an ambulance. Additional attacks on Al-Quds Hospital led to 21 injuries, with further assaults reported near the Indonesian Hospital. WHO underscored that such actions against healthcare may constitute breaches of International Humanitarian Law, reiterating its demand for an immediate ceasefire to protect health workers, patients, and medical facilities.
