ABU DHABI: The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education announced the names of the winners in its 17th session: 41 male and female winners from within the UAE, Arab region, and national level.

Khalifa Award further announced the Distinguished Educational Personality Award for the current session which is earned by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation ‘Mother of the Nation’.

This award is well deserved and is in appreciation of her role and contributions in advancing and supporting excellence in the educational field locally and internationally, as announced 3 Emirati families won the Distinguished Emirati Family Award in the current session.

The Award’s General Secretariat indicated 4 winners in the field of the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning on two projects and two research papers within international competi
tions in this field. As for Khalifa Award for Education fields that are open for UAE and Arab nations levels, current session winners are 26 male and female from within the UAE, and 11 male and female winners at the Arab world level.

The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education announced that the Awarding Ceremony will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Award for Education on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, stressed the award’s extreme privilege by handing the Distinguished Educational Personality award to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, ‘Mother of the Nation’ as it highlights Her Highness’s pioneering efforts over the past decades in creating an environment conducive to education, gaining on scie
nce and widening knowledge throughout the country, the region and the Arab world. Her Highness is an icon of knowledge in all its fields and her ongoing inspirational determination giving a model to be emulated by specialised international organizations worldwide.

Al-Afifi stressed the award’s appreciation for the rich contributions it received from locally and internationally , especially in light of launching the Khalifa International for Early Learning field, which witnessed great appeal for competition from researcher, and the scientific teams specialized in early childhood education who represent the finest universities and research centres concerned with early childhood education.

Al- afifi praised the efforts of the various work teams in the Award’s General Secretariat with its various committees as they took on evaluation processes, field visits, coordinators, as well as strategic partners who provided all support to make this course a success.

of winners for the seventeenth session of the Khalifa Award for Education, which came as follows:

-Field of Distinguished Educational Personality: Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President,General Women’s Union, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, President Supreme Council for Family Development Foundation ‘Mother of the Nation’.

-The field of General Education – the creative teacher category at the UAE level:

(Foundation Emirates School Education: Hanan Jamal Mustafa Essawi for specialization in kindergarten Children, Kholoud Helmy Muhammad Hassan, majoring in fine arts, Samaa Zaki Abdeen Abdul-Ghani, majoring in English, Sheikha Muhammad Obaid Al-Ghafli, majoring in Art education, Fawaghi Hassan Ali Al Zaabi, specializing in kindergarten, Mahmoud Muhammad Farghal Muhammad, majoring in Computing, Creative Design and Innovation, Maryam Nasser MuhammadAl Zaabi, majoring in Arabic Language, Nahed Muhammad Saeed Abu Ghanim, majoring in computer Science, Rasha Burhan Hassa
n Abu Al-Raz, majoring in physics from the Institute of Technology Applied Sciences, Muhammad Ibrahim Muhammad Abu Ghanim, majoring in science, Department of Education and knowledge, Nour Issa Ismail Al-Shater, majoring in Islamic education from Knowledge and Human Development Authority).

As for the category of creative teacher at the level of the Arab world:

(Sheikha Nabil Hamad Al-Hamad, majoring in accounting, from the Ministry of Education – Kingdom of Bahrain, Safaa Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Ghuwairi is a classroom teacher from the Ministry of Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Honorary Saif Khalfan Al-Shaibaniyah Chemistry major from the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman, Muhammad Ali Hussein Al-Mesiri specializes in digital skills from the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia, Mahmoud Ibrahim Ibrahim Saad, specialising in Arabic language and Islamic studies from the Ministry of Education in the State of Qatar, Widad Farhat Muhammad Boudriqa, majoring in mathematics, from t
he Ministry of Education in the Republic Tunisian).

-Field of General Education – Institutional Education Performance Category (Emirates School Establishment)

Schools: Al Qariah School – cycle 1 / branch 1 and Fujairah School – Cycle 2 / Girls).

Especially from the Emirates School Estabishment, Magda Fathallah Fattouh Al-Sayed Fatah Al-Bab specializes in special education from Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.

-Field of Education and Community Service – Institutions category: (Dubai Police / Public General departement of penal and correctional institutions: ‘Taking care of inmates’ rehabilitative rights(Educational – training)).

-The field of Education and Community Service – the distinguished Emirati family category (the family of Muhammad Abdullah Yousef Al-Hooti from Sharjah, the family of Saeed Saif Khalfan Al-Lailili from Fujairah, and the family of Amal Abdullah Muhammad Al-Mulla Al-Muhairi from Dubai).

The field of Creativity in Teaching the Arabic Language at the UAE level – innovative tea
cher category: (Wafa Nasser Hareb Abdullah Al Shamsi from the Emirates Foundation Establishment).

-The field of Higher Education in the United Arab Emirates – Professor category Distinguished University: (Dr. Bassem Muhammad Ismail Abu Jadayel, majoring in engineering Chemist from the United Arab Emirates University, Dr. Muhammad Ali Abdul Karim majored in chemical and biological engineering from the University of Sharjah.)

The field of Higher Education at the level of the Arab world – Distinguished University Professor category: (Dr. Rania Mohamed Hafez Mohamed Hathout, specializing in pharmaceuticals and pharmacyindustrial sector from Ain Shams University, and Dr. Ayman Abdel Aziz Sweilem Ibrahim Specialization in animal reproduction and production from King Saud University.)

-The field of Educational Research at the level of the United Arab Emirates – category Educational research (Dr. Ali Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Barakat for the winning research ‘study a survey of the role of parents in promoting green learning

The scope of the Khalifa International Award for Early Education – Best Programs, Curricula and Teaching Methodologies and Practices category: Candice Potgieter for the winning paper ‘The Unlimited Child’, and Dr. Gillian for the winning research ‘Nuffield Early Language Intervention – Programme Kindergarten”.
