18th International Exhibition for Construction BUILDEX 2021 starts activities

Damascus, SANA – With the participation of 215 local, Arab and foreign companies, activities of the 18th round of International Exhibition for Construction BUILDEX 2021 organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions started on Thursday at Damascus Fair Grounds.

 

The exhibition includes construction materials, air-conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment, water and environmental technologies, stone, marble, paint, insulation materials, security and safety systems, in addition to activities and lectures specialized in technology, modern construction and investment incentives in the housing sector.

 

Minister of Public Works and Housing,Suhail Abdullatif said ,in a statement to reporters, that the specialized exhibitions for construction are an opportunity to display the products of the Syrian companies and the participating countries, adding that the importance of the exhibition comes from its coincidence with launching the reconstruction process soon .

 

Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Mehdi Sobhani, said that his country participates in the exhibition with 27 companies specialized in the construction sector, and this indicates the serious will of the Iranians to take advantage of the opportunities available for cooperation with Syria, to strengthen relations between the two countries and to participate in the reconstruction process.

 

Director General of the Arab Group for Exhibitions, Alaa Hilal, said that BUILDEX exhibition has re-started after suspending it during the years of war, despite the siege and difficult circumstances that prevented international companies from participating in the exhibition, pointing out that production in the industry is continuing and there is a great participation by exhibitors to display Syrian production lines.
