18th National Robotics Competition launched

Amman: Activities of the 18th National Robotics Competition (NRC) were launched Saturday, organized by King Hussein Foundation’s Jubilee Center for Excellence in Education (JCEE), in cooperation with Ministry of Education, aimed at stimulating students to increase interest in science and technology.

According to a JCEE statement on Sunday, 68 teams from public and private schools and scientific centers from 7 governorates took part in the championship, supervised by about 96 teachers, with participation of 416 students.

Participants in the competition acquire practical experience by innovating solutions to problems facing robot technology users and inspiring students from 9 to 16 years old to unleash robot-based critical thinking, programming, and design skills, the statement said.
