The 1st Conference for Investment in Electricity Sector and Renewable Energies kicked off on Sunday at the Jasmine House Hotel in Damascus.
The two-day conference will be held under the slogan “Investment in Renewable Energies and Electricity, the Engine of Sustainable Development in Syria.”
The conference aims at reviewing investment opportunities in renewable energies and government investment incentives, searching for opportunities to finance renewable energy projects, presenting and discussing investment challenges in them and the incentives that can be provided to develop investments.
The conference will be attended by the ministries of energy in friendly countries, the Syrian Investment Agency, the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, the Central Bank of Syria (CBS), the Planning and International Cooperation Commission, the Arab Renewable Energy Commission, in addition to Syrian, Arab and foreign investors.
