Turkish security forces have arrested two people suspected of having links to the Daesh/ISIS terror group in southeastern Trkiye, authorities said on Thursday. In a statement, the provincial security directorate in Gaziantep province said that its anti-terror teams determined that the suspects, identified only by the initials S.S. and O.S.H., carried out activities as part of the terror group in the past. Trkiye was one of the first countries to declare Daesh/ISIS a terror group. The country has since been attacked by the terror organization multiple times. It has carried out at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks and four armed attacks, killing 315 people and injuring hundreds more. In response, Trkiye launched anti-terror operations at home and abroad to prevent further attacks.
