Thirty-six Egyptian universities were listed on the 2022 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings which include 1,406 universities from 106 countries or regions for their commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the indicator of scientific research for April revealed.

The Egyptian universities on the list include Aswan University, Ain Shams University, Cairo University and Alexandria University.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the SDGs. The rankings use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas; research, stewardship, outreach and teaching.
