5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes southwest Trkiye


ANKARA: A 5.1 magnitude earthquake shook the southwestern region of Trkiye on Saturday morning.

The offshore quake occurred off the coast of the Kusadasi district in the Aydin province, as reported by Trkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency on its official website.

The earthquake, which occurred around 08:19 TSI, had its epicenter located at a latitude of 37.96694 degrees north and a longitude of 27.13056 degrees east, with a depth of 8.51 km.

As of now, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damages resulting from the earthquake.
