6.1-magnitude earthquake in the Russian Far East

Baghdad, The Geophysical Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Russian Kamchatka region reported that an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred today, Saturday, in the south of the region.

It said in a statement: “The earthquake occurred at 18:25 local time (9:25 Moscow time) in the Pacific Ocean off the coast in the south of the peninsula, 170 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.”
